The brief
Make a wide commercial offer easier to understand.
LitMex serves different kinds of business premises across London. An office manager looking for regular cleaning, a restaurant operator planning a deep clean and a facilities team managing shared spaces need different answers. One generic page cannot explain all of those situations well.
The project was to build a website from scratch that could introduce LitMex clearly, give its commercial services distinct homes and help a buyer find the information most relevant to their building and cleaning brief.
That meant planning the structure alongside the copy and navigation. The goal was a useful route from first search to informed enquiry, not a collection of near-identical keyword pages.
The approach
Three connected decisions shaped the build.
Start with the commercial buyer
The homepage established LitMex as a London commercial cleaning company and introduced the main buyer needs without asking every visitor to work through the entire service catalogue.
Separate services from sectors
Services explain what the cleaning work includes. Sector pages explain the setting and operational context. That distinction helps an office buyer or hospitality operator reach a more relevant answer.
Connect the useful pages
Navigation and contextual links lead from the broad offer to a specific service or sector, and then to a quote route when the fit is clearer. The links serve the buyer journey rather than existing for a score.
The live structure
See how the pages work together.
The LitMex site makes the information architecture visible. Its services hub helps a visitor choose by cleaning need, while its sectors hub helps someone choose by business environment. The office-cleaning page then gives more detailed scope and scheduling information than a homepage could comfortably hold.
The site also presents London coverage and a quote pathway. These are examples of the type of connected journey the build was designed to support; the live site can continue to evolve after the original project.
Why this matters: A cleaning buyer should not have to guess whether a page is relevant. A clear structure lets them move from “what do you clean?” to “does this fit my premises?” and then “how do I enquire?”
Project evidence
A new website with a clearer path to enquiry.
LitMex’s website was built from scratch to make its commercial cleaning offer easier to find, understand and act on. The connected service and sector pages give buyers a more useful route than a single broad page.
LitMex reports receiving frequent calls and enquiries. Search and AI-answer visibility are discussed separately below; we do not assign those enquiries to a particular channel without matching lead data.
We’ll update this case study every few months as more comparable evidence becomes available.
AI search visibility · London commercial cleaning
How we made LitMex clearer to AI-powered answers.
For a commercial cleaning company in London, buyers may ask AI tools about a particular service, type of premises or part of the city. We built the website around those real distinctions, then monitored which LitMex pages appeared as cited sources.
Define who LitMex serves
We established a clear commercial-cleaning position, London coverage and paths for different business premises. That gives a buyer—and a search system—a more precise answer than a broad list of cleaning keywords.
Connect services and sectors
We organised the service and sector journeys around specific needs such as office and restaurant cleaning, with relevant scope, scheduling context and enquiry routes. The live site also connects to local office-cleaning pages.
Measure the pages AI cites
We reviewed a selected set of UK commercial-cleaning questions and recorded the cited domains and URLs. Supplied reports identified the LitMex homepage and local office-cleaning pages among the sources used in monitored answers.
That position was observed on 6 and 8 June 2026 within a selected 47-prompt UK comparison set, not across every AI answer or as a current ranking. The monitoring does not prove that any single website change caused a citation.
The same clear, useful page foundations matter for conventional search too. Read more about CitedFirst’s GEO and AI visibility approach.

What this project demonstrates
The asset is the connected website, not a single ranking number.
A clear commercial position
The site introduces commercial-only cleaning and directs visitors towards the appropriate service rather than mixing incompatible audiences into one message.
Useful specificity
Service and sector pages can answer different questions: cleaning scope, business setting, access, frequency and next steps.
Commercial momentum
LitMex reports frequent calls and enquiries. Search and AI visibility offer useful context, while the connected website gives customers clearer ways to take the next step.
Frequently asked questions
About the LitMex website project
Was this a redesign?
No. CitedFirst built the LitMex website from scratch. The live site has continued to develop since the original build.
What was included?
The project brought together website design, commercial service and sector structure, internal journeys, on-page search foundations and routes to enquire.
Is LitMex receiving enquiries?
Yes. LitMex reports frequent calls and enquiries. The historical AI-monitoring observations above are separate from enquiries; this page does not assign a number of enquiries to a particular search channel.
